ICP2C3 2018 — International Conference on Physics of 2D Crystals
Third edition of the International Conference on Physics of 2D Crystals, held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in La Valletta, Malta, from 29 May to 2 June 2018. Invited and plenary lectures addressed boron nitride and hBN nanophotonics, graphene, transition-metal dichalcogenides, hybrid perovskites and exciton physics in two-dimensional systems, with dedicated poster sessions.

TERAMETANANO 2018 - International Conference on Terahertz Emission, Metamaterials and Nanophotonics
TERAMETANANO-3 2018, the International Conference on Terahertz Emission, Metamaterials and Nanophotonics, held at the Hacienda Uxmal Plantation & Museum in Uxmal, Mexico, from 25 to 29 March 2018. The programme covered the series' established topics — polaritonics, metamaterials, two-dimensional crystals, quantum simulations, Bose–Einstein condensation, terahertz spectroscopy, organic semiconductors and hybrid structures — together with perovskites.

Second edition of the International Conference on Physics of 2D Crystals, held at the Vinpearl Ha Long Bay Resort in Ha Long, Vietnam, from 25 to 30 April 2017. The programme combined plenary and invited lectures on the physics and the applications of two-dimensional crystals, covering graphene, boron nitride, transition-metal dichalcogenides, hybrid perovskites and photonic crystals.

International Conference on Physics of Light-Matter Coupling in Nanostructures, held at the Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia, from 3 to 8 February 2015. The programme addressed the fundamental and technological questions behind a new generation of optoelectronic devices built on low-dimensional and photonic structures, with topics running from excitons and polaritons to plasmonics, quantum dots and spin and valleytronics.

International Conference on Problems of Strongly Correlated and Interacting Systems, held at the Petro Palace Hotel in St Petersburg from 28 to 31 May 2014. Its invited lectures ranged over quantum gases and Rydberg systems, exciton-polariton condensation and bosonic lasers, topological and flat-band superconductivity, quantum thermalization, chiral metamaterials and single-photon interfaces to condensed-matter systems.

OECS 13 — International Conference on Optics of Excitons in Confined Systems
OECS 13, the International Conference on Optics of Excitons in Confined Systems, held at the Angelicum Congress Centre in Rome from 9 to 13 September 2013. The scientific programme ran in eight named sessions on excitons in photonic structures, organic microcavities, optics of excitons in quantum wires and dots, polariton condensates, Bose–Einstein condensation of excitons and cold atoms, quantum optics and coherent control, quantum optomechanics and excitons in emerging materials, and included a special session in memory of Rodolfo Del Sole.

Its lectures covered nanophotonics, microcavities, exciton physics, quantum dots, superfluidity and spin effects, photovoltaics, chemical synthesis of materials, solar-cell fabrication and organic and hybrid photovoltaics.

International School on Spin Dynamics in Semiconductor Structures, held in Tsakhkadzor, Armenia, from 16 to 22 January 2013 and organised with the Russian-Armenian University and the Quantum College. The lectures dealt with electron spin dynamics in semiconductors, optically detected magnetic resonance, exchange interaction in semiconductor nanostructures and dipolar excitonic condensates.

Ceremony at which the academic mantel and diploma of Honorary Professor were conferred on Bernard Gil, held in the Blue Hall of the Physics Faculty of St Petersburg State University on 26 October 2012. The ceremony was accompanied by a short international scientific meeting on semiconductor physics, and its speakers are recorded.

NewMaRE 2012 — International School on New Materials and Renewable Energy
NewMaRE 2012, the International School on New Materials and Renewable Energy, hosted by the Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi from 19 to 23 September 2012. Its topic list ran from graphene, carbon nanotubes, new superconductors and photonic crystals to metamaterials, microcavities and organic and hybrid systems for photovoltaics, with lectures on cold-electron bolometers, polariton condensates, single-photon sources and terahertz lasers.
